Once more, the J-birds have flown off to distant lands to make their nest. And once more, our friends and family are further than we'd like them to be from us. However, we're reviving the J-bird blog to keep those we love up to date on our latest adventures, as we are finding that we seem to have many of them in Omaha. We've settled in very nicely, here in the midwest. The big trees and the winding river and the old buildings and the nice people really seem to suit us. Our little home feels exactly like a home and not just a place to put our things. Since relocating to Omaha 6 months ago, Chris is thriving at the violin shop he works for, which you can read about HERE. Brittany and Chris have begun to make friends. Brittany enrolled in acting classes, joined a book club and began making handmade books/cards to sell at a craft fair and a local vintage shop. She's also been keeping up her healthy food blog SkinnyMama which features her post-pregnancy weight-loss journey and lots of yummy recipes. But, most importantly, Chris and Brittany have been spending lots of time with the littlest bird. After the wild ride 2012 gave us, complete with the most wonderful little summer blossom, Poppy, who keeps mama and papa smiling and laughing with her silly antics, we are glad to be settled somewhere that feels like it has room for us. Not just room, but also opportunity to grow as a tiny family, while we all pursue the things that give us the most joy in life and cheer each other along. We're excited about 2013 and although our loved ones are in all corners of the country, hopefully this little corner of the internet will help us feel connected and keep you all up to date on the happenings in our world. Love & hugs.
